Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

It’s one of the most highly anticipated hotel openings of the year. Waldorf Astoria opened its doors at the intersection of Santa Monica and Wilshire Boulevards in the heart of Beverly Hills on June 1. The brand new $200 million building boasts classic L.A. luxury with an intimate and elegant feeling. SmartFlyer is taking you inside this hip new hotel, the perfect place to experience California’s effortless, luxury lifestyle.

ROOMS: All 170 rooms have floor to ceiling windows and furnished private balconies with views of the Hollywood hills or Downtown L.A. The 12-story building has 18 rooms per floor, giving it a more intimate feel. The rooms are contemporary with neutral, yet sophisticated color schemes. Accent pieces of art add a pop of color to the design. There are also iPads in the rooms to control lighting and temperature, order room service, and schedule spa services.

POOL: The rooftop infinitely pool has sweeping views of the city. This exclusive oasis is only open to hotel guests. The pool is lined with lounge chairs and sleek white umbrellas. There are also cabanas available for rent.

SPA & GYM: The 5,000 square foot La Prairie Spa has six treatments rooms, as well as a separate steam room and shower for men and women. It also includes a salon by celebrity colorist, Tracey Cunningham. The gym is located on the second floor of the spa, offering a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment.

RESTAURANTS: There are two Jean-Georges restaurants at the hotel. The Michelin-starred chef is known as one of the best French chefs of our time. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Jean-Georges, is an all-day option for guests. The menu has a wide range of options, pushing California produce. The Rooftop by JG is a more casual spot that overlooks the brand new pool as well as much of Beverly Hills.

BAR: The Jean-Georges Beverly Hills Bar is a casual affair for cocktails and shared plates. Slip into this stylish bar next to the main restaurant, before or after dinner.

GETTING THERE: Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is a 35 minute drive from LAX. It sits at the corner of Santa Monica and Wilshire Boulevards, in the heart of Beverly Hills.
