Heart Ball Raises Nearly $1 Million

Photos By Diane Anderson

The annual Heart Ball to benefit the American Heart Association was held at Union Station and the St. Louis Aquarium last weekend. Nearly $1 million was raised to support the organization’s ongoing mission of building healthier lives for everyone.

Mercy’s Executive Vice President, Donn Sorensen, served as the chair of the event. One of the live auction items featuring a private dinner in his home, prepared by the owner of Café Napoli with guest Jackie Joyner-Kersee, was purchased for more than $10,000.

The dinner and auction was followed by a tour of the St. Louis Aquarium. See the evening’s presentation of  Amos Story.
