The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis in Clayton is now offering a new luxurious event space. The Solarium features a mix of thriving vegetation that makes this garden terrace picturesque and full of extravagant charm. 

At just over 3,000 square feet, The Solarium takes inspiration from natural sunlight and abounding plant life, which acts as the main focal point of the space. The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis partnered with Atlanta-based architecture and interior design firm The Johnson Studio to bring the blossoming vision to life. With a mix of greenery throughout, the venue draws guests into the space with an enchanting ambiance and bountiful blooms. The soft color palette blends with subtle pops of pastels, allowing the greenery to shine through and fill the space. In addition to the abundant foliage, guests will notice the latticed ceiling laced with ivy that permits natural light to peek through during the daytime. This cascading sunlight bounces off the leaves, playing on the name ‘solarium’ as a sunroom. The terrace then transitions to mood lighting at night, setting the tone for the lush backdrop. Aside from the lighting, the multi-textures inspired the simplistic decor seen throughout, all coming together to sprout an enduringly fresh and timeless space.

With an emphasis on versatility, the venue was intentionally designed to host a multitude of events, including weddings, holiday soirees and more. Hosts will be excited to know that the feel and tone of the space is customizable to their liking, allowing The Solarium to become the perfect backdrop for every special occasion. The banquet layout allows guests to join around beautifully-adorned tables complete with floral table settings. For a more casual approach, the lounge layout includes high-top seating along the perimeter walls, allowing guests to escape in the scenic view. With a long, communal table, guests have the opportunity to gather together while enjoying the event, with cozy armchairs as an additional seating option. Furthermore, three specialty chair alternatives are available and hosts can choose to divide the terrace into multiple spaces with the use of removable partitions. Mobile fire tables are available for buffet-style service, in addition to two mobile bars.
