Audition Workshop for Teens

Learn to audition like a pro with a five-day audition intensive workshop presented by the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation. Click here for more details.

St. Louis’ top theatre professionals will be on hand giving tips on auctions for musical theatre. Acting/dance coach and Broadway veteran Tony Parise, who was an original cast member of 42nd Street and the National Tour of A Chorus Line will help teens 14-19 focus on a variety of skills including:

  • Acting, singing and dance

  • How to present yourself during an audition

  • What to wear to an audition

  • How to build a resume

  • How to work with an accompanist

  • How to pick the right audition piece

Vocal coach Steve Neale, an award-winning conductor, composer and pianist, will also be available to give participants a professional’s perspective of the auditioning process. Participants will receive feedback on the audition from the panel. This is a great opportunity for teenagers wanting to be a part of high school and college performances that require going through the audition process.

The cost is $250 for the week-long workshop to be held July 26-July 30 at The Kranzberg, located at 501 N. Grand Blvd. Scholarships are available. For more information, head to foxpacf.org.
