Can You Keep Up?

Taking a Sunday drive, or just have a need for speed? SL has the perfect solution.

The Aston Martin V12 Speedster.

The original DB5 Aston Martin sped into fame with Sean Connery as James Bond behind the wheel, in Goldfinger (1964) and Thunderball (1965). Today’s V12 Speedster pulls inspiration from the infamous Bond car. Based on the DBR1 line, the Speedster is the most successful machine created by Aston Martin. In 1959, the original model for the DBR1 line won Le Mans in France - the oldest and one of the most prestigious Grand Prix races in the world. 1959 was Aston Martin’s first win after 28 years of entering Le Mans; that same year, the DBR1 went on to win Nurburgring in Germany, another Grand Prix race. These two first place finishes cemented the dominance of the DB line of Aston Martin machines in racing history.

Beyond the DB line’s illustrious past on screen and on the racetrack, the V12 Speedster and its features look toward the exciting future of Aston Martin. Every detail of the car is thoughtfully executed and significant, down to the colors: Racing Green for the body and Clubsport White for the accents. Under the hood is Aston Martin’s classic twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine, generating 690bhp and 753Nm of torque. Maximum speed reaches 198mph. Only five DBR1 cars were built back in the 1950’s. Luckily, the modern V12 Speedster is available to you right now, to bring home the legacy of championship racing and the luxury of modern excellence.  Deliveries on orders begin this summer.
