Sweet Dalgona Coffee- Without the Sugar

It’s an Instagram and TikTok phenom- Sweet Dalgona Coffee. Basically it’s a frothy cold coffee that would taste like a melted coffee ice cream if you add sugar, but making a low sugar version still gets the job done! The four ingredients are instant coffee powder, sugar, water, and milk. Replace the sugar with either SweetLeaf packets or powder, or with SweetLeaf’s Better than Sugar!®, and Dalgona Coffee becomes a low-calorie treat that can be served any time of day. 

Here’s how to make two servings of SweetLeaf’s low-sugar version of Dalgona Coffee:

  • 4 Tbsp. instant coffee powder

  • 6 packets or 1/2 Tbsp. SweetLeaf sweetener OR 4 Tbsp. SweetLeaf’s Better than Sugar!

  • 4 Tbsp. hot water

  • Milk, cold

  • Ice (optional) 

Directions

  1. Put instant coffee powder, SweetLeaf, and hot water in a mixing bowl.

  2. Using an electric mixer, mix on high for 4-5 minutes, until the mixture is creamy, frothy, and light brown in color with soft peaks.

  3. Fill a glass or cup 3/4 full with cold milk. Add ice if desired.

  4. Place a generous dollop of the coffee mixture on top of the milk.

  5. Drink and make more!
