Pedal the Cause 2021

What organization has raised almost $3 million towards their goal before their signature fundraising event has even started? An anchor of SL’s Society calendar, this event isn’t black tie or even business casual. It’s Pedal the Cause. 

This staggering amount raised is not surprising with almost 4,000 participants signed up to ride and thousands more wanting to donate, volunteer, and support. This year’s Pedal the Cause takes place this weekend, September 25 - 26. The worthy cause? A World Without Cancer℠. The mission? “To provide critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through [the] annual cycling challenge.”

Founded in 2009, Pedal the Cause has raised over $32 million for cancer research. From this, 175 cancer research projects have been funded and countless lives have been changed. Something even more unique about Pedal the Cause: 100% of public donations go directly to these research projects for all types of cancer. Ready to make a difference? Getting involved and participating are simple: register, commit, celebrate! The positivity and excitement at this event is palpable.
